This article will demonstrate how to manually install and sign-in the Anchor desktop agent for windows 10/11.
Note: For instructions on installing the desktop agent on Windows Server 2016 and above, scroll to the bottom of this article.
This article will demonstrate how to manually install and sign-in the Anchor desktop agent for windows 10/11.

Steps:
- Ensure you have completed all the items in Minimum System Requirements
- Unzip the installer zip file you downloaded from the Anchor Admin Dashboard. You will find 2 executables, InstallerApp.exe and DAtAnchorSetup_v4.0.0.exe as shown below
- Double click on InstallerApp.exe and enter the Organization Name (all lower case).
- The installation will start and progress is shown on the UI.
- Once installation is complete, the following UI appears. Please click on
Reboot
the button to complete the installation. Note: A reboot is mandatory for Anchor to function properly. - Upon reboot, please sign in using the appropriate login method; i.e. OTP or Active Directory.
Installing the desktop Agent on your Windows Server:

Step 1: Ensure you have completed all the items in Minimum System Requirements
Step 2: Install the agent using the command line installation.
a) Open Command prompt in Admin mode.
b) Change directory to where the extracted Anchor installer folder is located.
c) Type command DAtAnchorSetup_v4.0.0.exe --install --org-id <org-id> --skip-os-check (assuming you are installing agent version 4.0.0).
d) Reboot your server and sign in to the agent once the reboot is complete.
