Allow Office applications to save files to non-protected folders

Anchor version 5.3.1+ allows you to enable Office applications and Adobe Acrobat reader to save files to non-protected folders. This option is configurable in the Anchor admin dashboard.

To enable this feature, do the following steps.

1. First, you need to add Office applications and Adobe Acrobat reader as Anchor by Process (AxP) applications.This step is CRITICAL! You cannot enable Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat reader to save files to non-protected folders without first making all of them AxP applications.
2. In the Anchor admin dashboard, in the left menu, click Settings > User Roles.
3. Under Actions, click the three vertical dots icon on your desired user role. Then click Edit.

4. Click the Expand icon next to MS Office Add In Settings.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Save as setting and toggle it on to allow users to save Office Application files to non-protected folders.
