How to enable TLS 1.2 on Windows
To enable TLS 1.2 on Windows for Agent Installation, follow these steps:
- Open the Registry Editor by typing
regedit
in your start menu and selecting the application. - Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\SecurityProviders\\SCHANNEL\\Protocols
- Right-click on the
Protocols
folder and select New -> Key. Name the new keyTLS 1.2
. - Inside the
TLS 1.2
key, create a new key namedClient
. - Inside the
Client
key, create a DWORD value namedEnabled
. Double-click onEnabled
and make sure the value is set to1
. - Also the
Client key
, create another DWORD value namedDisabledByDefault
. Double-click onDisabledByDefault
and make sure the value is set to0
. - Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
