Article Summary

This article describes a known issue where users are unable to sign pdf files with uploaded images. Multiple versions of Adobe Reader DC, Adobe Standard DC, and Adobe Reader Pro are currently being tested. PNG files have the highest success rate across all Adobe versions and we recommend attempting to sign with this file type first. We understand the need and importance of this feature and are confident to have this resolved soon.

Step 1: Open a pdf file in Adobe and select the "sign document" icon highlighted in yellow.

Step 2: Select Add Initials.

Step 3: Select an image to sign your document.

Please note, PNG files have the highest success rate and we recommend trying them first.

An error message will display stating Error attempting to read from file.

The following table shows the configurations in which PNG and JPG file types can be added as a signature in Adobe.
