Article Summary

This article explains the notification Anchor users will receive when they are unable to attach files to an email.

You will learn:

  1. Why you are unable to attach files to an email.
  2. What happens when you are unable to attach files to an email.
  3. How to check a file's access rules.

Users will not be able to attach files to an email if the user is not following the file's access rules or if the file is currently open. If this occurs, the following notification will pop-up on your screen.

If you get this notification, check to see whether the file is currently being used. If so, close it. If not, check the file's access rules to make sure you are following the rules.

Viewing a File's Access Rules

To check a file's access rules, right-click on the file, select 'Anchor,' and choose 'Show Access Rules' (highlighted options). If you are unable to view the access rules, contact your admin as you may not have the needed access.

If all the rules are being followed, you will be able to attach the file to an email.
