Desktop experience

Step 1: Click on the Avatar in the top right of the screen.

Step 2: Select download agent.

Step 3: Anchor_v4.0.0.exe will appear in bottom left of screen. Right-click it, and run it as an admin. Note: If Windows security is not allowing users to download or run the exe, please disable real time protection in your windows security settings.

This file can also be accessed in the downloads folder in file explorer.

Step 4: After installation, reboot your machine. Once you return to https://trial.anchormydata.com/onboarding the trial will continue automatically.

Step 5: The sign-in screen should appear upon reboot. If you do not see the agent, check for Anchor in the system tray, or you may search for Anchor in the windows search bar.

Step 6: Sign in to the Agent located in the tray app with your email address. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email address. 

Step 7: Enter the 6-digit verification code. Note: this code expires after 15 minutes.

Step 8: Click on Help>Open Protected Folder. 

Step 9: File explorer will open and contain some test folders.

Step 10: You may now right-click and Anchor files.
